On the first Tuesday of every month parents come together over a tea or coffee to support each other; sharing past experiences and the highs and lows of ADHD, ASD and poor mental health in children.
As a member of our support group, parents are able to access therapeutic support and advice which is subsidised by the ADHD Hub CIC.
Young people aged 14+ can come and volunteer in the ADHD Hub Cafe. This provides them with the life skills and work experience to gain paid employment in the future.
Regular ADHD and ASD related courses for parents, carers, teachers, organisations etc.
Upstairs in the ADHD Hub there is a calming sensory room for families to come and calm after a busy day in Newcastle town.
Regular workshops and activities for children and parents, such as Lego Club, Art Classes, Drama, Drum Therapy etc
We provide a safe environment for our young adults and teens with ADHD, ASD to gain work experience, life skills and managerial experience. It will benefit future employers hiring cafe workers or barista staff as we will have them trained already. We hope that this will take away the stigma that comes with ADHD/ ASD.
Our young volunteers are very dedicated and hard working.
Always have big smiles on their faces.
